We are Living with Snow Leopard Vol.02 ユキヒョウとの共存を探る旅

Leaving Delhi early in the morning of August 20, to Leh airport. We met Mr. Jigmet Dadul, Snow Leopard Conservancy India Trust (SLC - IT) program manager (Mr. Snow Leopard!),  and moved to the village of our activity base. Our bus runs in the desert, in the colour and view I have never seen.  

After we arrived at our activity place,  we rested for the first day because of highland adaptation. I scanned at the rocks slowly for searching for ibex and urial, but we could not find it. However, I could find out a pair of golden eagle on the rock.

8月20日早朝にデリーを発ち、レー空港へ。そこでSnow Leopard Conservancy India Trust (SLC-IT)のプログラムマネージャー、Jigmet Dadul氏に会い、活動拠点の村へ移動しました。

道中、荒涼という言葉がぴったりの風景が窓の外を流れていきます。

これまでネパールの山々でヒマラヤの風景を見ていたのですが、岩肌の様子や色が違っており、これもまた勉強になりました。

現地に入って初日は高度順応のため、ゆっくりと休息。岩肌を観察し、アイベックスやウリアルなどを探しましたが、見つけられず。しかし、イヌワシの姿を観察できました。
