蕪島 the Best colony of Black-tailed gull to visit.

青森県蕪島を中心にした海鳥スケッチ旅行へ、鳥仲間3名と行ってきました。蕪島は日本有数のウミネコ繁殖地。昨秋、神社が火災で全焼してしまったのですが、ウミネコの繁殖期とは重複しなかったので、ウミネコの飛来に支障がなかったようです。

かわいい雛連れをたくさん観ることができました。

Kabushima in Aomori is one of the greatest place to watch the colony of Black-tailed gull. It takes about 15 minutes walk to the island from JR East Same station on Hachinohe line. About 3.5hours by Tohoku-Shinkansen from Tokyo to Same.
