カイツブリ Try again

近所でカイツブリが営巣しています。

前回この場所を訪れたとき（6月18日）に巣に一つ目を産卵していたので
今回は抱卵状況を確認に行ったのですが、7/2に行くと同じ場所で造巣作業中。

前の巣は、先日の大雨で水位変化に耐えられなかったのかもしれません。

必死に巣作りする姿に、ちょっと心を打たれました。

A couple of little grebe make its nest in a marsh now.

 I watched nesting on 18th of June, so I hoped to see the incubating its eggs on 2nd of July when I visited.

However I saw the couple was bringing nest materials to same place.

They probably had failed to hatch eggs because of a heavy raining day a few days ago.

I was impressed by the scene of making an effort to try again for its babies.
