Teal's courtship display 手賀沼にて

The male teals displayed for females in Tega-numa marsh on 9th December.

手賀沼を久しぶりに訪問して短時間でしたが周回散策路を歩くと、コガモの求愛ディスプレイを観察できました。しきりにアピールする雄たちの横で、のーんびりとする雌やカルガモの眠そうな顔が対照的でした。

After the teal watching, I visited the Yamashina Institute for Ornithology with my data of wild birds, and received expert advice. I have to work more to get good evidence, but it means that my research will be useful for the next generation!
