Vanguard Brand New Optical Product vol.2 バンガード新双眼鏡 VEO HD

Vanguard will launch brand new optical products this spring, VEO HD series. I had an opportunity to try VEO HD 10x42 binoculars.

私がお世話になっている光学機器メーカー・バンガードから、この5月に発売予定の双眼鏡を、発売に先駆けて特別に試用する機会をいただきました。

双眼鏡 VEO HD 10x42のレビューです。

This binoculars body is build up by carbon. It is a few grams lighter than the Endeavor EDII 1042 on the catalog, but the impression is even lighter. The internal weight balance may have been improved. Since the eyepiece has a large diameter, you can feel the "wide view" when you look into it, and the brightness is also rising from the Endeavor EDII. 

VEO HDのボディはカーボン複合素材になり、エンデバーEDⅡ1042よりも数値上軽くなっていますが、持った印象はそれ以上の軽量感。重量バランスの改善が施されているのかもしれません。ご担当の方からの情報では、新しい素材になって強度も増しているとのことです。

接眼レンズの直径が大きいので、覗いた時に「視界の広さ」を感じ、明るさもエンデバーEDⅡから上がっている印象があり、曇空の下でも池の縁を覆う周囲よりもやや暗い葉陰にいたキセキレイやカワセミの居場所を、覗いた瞬間に認識できました。シャープさもEDⅡよりも上がっていると感じ、バンガードが技術を上げてきていることを実感しました。写真撮影もいいけれど、「まずは双眼鏡で鳥を観たい」という気持ちにさせてくれる、そんな見え味です。

It was very easy to find out gray wagtails and a kingfisher in the shade of the leaves by the pond by VEO HD 10x42 at the moment I looked into, because the colour  resolution and contrast is very natural and clear. I felt that the sharpness is also higher, and I realized that Vanguard is improving its own optical technology and quality. 

私は眉毛下部分にアイカップを当てて見ることが多いのですが、この部分の肌触りがとてもいいです。こういうパーツでの「ストレスフリー」は、観察重視の私には嬉しいです。ピントリングも適正なトルクで止めたいところできちんと止まるため、高級感があります。

発売が楽しみです。

This binocular eyecup rubber is very nice quality because I often put an eyecup on the lower eyebrows. I'm glad that there is no stress for long observation.
