伝え切れない迫力 Geese in Izu-numa Marsh Area

11/21-23に、Aさんご夫妻からのお誘いを受け、私を含め計6人と伊豆沼・内沼へ行ってきました。この地のすごさは、なんといっても、ガンの多さです。

朝日池などでガンの飛び立ちや塒入りを見てはいますが、朝日池は数千（それでもすごいですが）、伊豆沼は万単位ですから。数百のガンの群れが小さくすら見えます。

これまで何度か仙台平野に飛来するガンの様子は見ていますが、やはりこの数の迫力をスクリーン（面）では伝え切れないものだとつくづく感じます。特に蕪栗沼では、360度にガンの声がして、視野外にもものすごい数のガンが飛び交う光景は「現場」ならでは。その地に足を運ぶ重要性をガンたちが伝えてくれました。

Izu-numa and Uchi-numa marsh is one of the most important wintering Anseriformes in North East Japan.  It is said that 80,000-130,000 white-fronted geese, bean geese, Aleutian canada geese, lesser white-fronted geese and snow geese. Of course you can enjoy them day-time in rice paddles around the marsh, I recommend you to see huge number of geese of the roosting (sunrise and sunset). It will be unforgettable opportunity for you!

Nitta Station (Local JR Tohoku-Line)is nearest to Izu-numa. To arrive Nitta Stattion, change at Sendai Station from Tohoku-Shinkansen. 

It takes about 1.5-2hours from Tokyo to Sendai by Tohoku-Shinkansen.

If you are O.K to drive a car in Japan, Kurikoma Kogen Station of Tohoku-Shinkansen is very useful to lent a car for easy access to Izu-numa, Uchi-numa and Kabukuri-numa.
