1月の確認種 My Bird List in January

My year list of bird 2025 had 94 species on 31 January.

30/Dec/2005 Eurasian Coot

1月31日の種数チェックでは、外来鳥を含め、94種（亜種アメリカコハクチョウ含む）でした。2025年最初のバードウォッチングは新潟で元旦に行い、城址の堀や河川敷などをめぐったところ、オオバンやオオタカ、タゲリなどを観察できました。2020年秋から毎冬飛来していると言われているクビワキンクロも1月に観察してきました。

On January 4th, I had  great start as visited a wetland with my birding friends, and I saw an amazing 68 species in just one day, including the bittern around sunset time, it was found by Mr. KRy, the youngest birder in our group!

I am looking forward to seeing how many species will be on the final list on 31 December 2025.
