6月の確認種 My Bird List in June

毎年、見聞した鳥を日本産鳥類目録（今年から第8版）で記録しています。6月は草原性鳥類の観察の機会に恵まれたことで、6月30日の種数チェックでは219種（外来種5種 ガビチョウ、カオグロガビチョウ、コジュケイ、コブハクチョウ、ホンセイインコを含む）となりました。

My year list of Bird 2025 had 219 species including 5 non-native species on 30 June. In particular, on the evening of June 30th, I was very lucky to hear the voice of Oriental Scops Owl for the first time in 7-8 years, with my birding friend. Also the new, in Hokkaido and the highlands of central Honshu, were grassland birds such as Siberian Stonechat, Common Cuckoo, Grey-headed Bunting, Black-browed Reed Warbler, Middendorff's Grasshopper Warbler, and a couple of Yellow Bittern that I had not spotted in May in the wetlands near my house.

I was surprised when I saw a White-throated Needletail Swift in Tokyo on 25 June. I was curious to find out where it came from, but there is no reliable breeding records in Honshu in recent years, so if you see any White-throated Needletail Swift in Honshu in May-July (breeding season), we should keep the record.
